Dear Father, I, your son Erasto, asks for your blessings.
I am sorry for not writing in so long time. I was very busy my father, but now I am safe.
The travel was long and the sacrifices hard and painful.
But now, after 3 years of danger I am here. A place called Malta.
I can send you now money my family.
Mama I miss you, wife I promise I will send for you one day soon
My child I will pray for you always, look at my picture every day so you can recognise me.
I have sent you 50 Euro from my job building stone walls. I will send more next month.
As an illegal refugee I am only paid half the money of the white peoples.
But they are good. They call me Toad because I am big, strong and quiet.
They make fun a lot with me and I smile a little.
Please tell Auntie that Korfa and his wife Nadifa have not made it and will not be returning home.
Tell her I have prayed over their souls. I have cried for her also.
Mama I miss you so much.
Bless me Father.
